At HealthQuist, security is a top priority and we are constantly working to provide solutions that meet the rules and regulations of organizations such as HIPAA.

Our web-based solution is protected by a 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption with advanced firewall protection. In order to access your account, where your patient records and transcribed reports are located, an authenticated Username and Password are required. The server has firewalls to prevent unauthorized access and up-to-date anti-virus software to protect against web viruses.

As for our transcriptionists, all employees are required to sign a “confidentiality agreement” which addresses the issue of dispensing patient information. Also, employees have limited access to data storage – i.e. CDs and floppy drives – to ensure patient records are kept confidential.
